Tree & Shrub Removal

Tree removal is a significant part of arboriculture and one that Wharram Tree Service executes professionally and safely. Our goal is, and has always been, to provide services that keep trees healthy. However, there are instances when removal is the best alternative for the landscape and homeowner.

Tree removals are performed to eliminate weak trees that are prone to breakage as well as those that have become hazardous. Often, trees will outgrow their environment and need to be removed for practical reasons such as allowing for new construction and home additions.

Tree removal is the most hazardous aspect of arboriculture. Often, tree workers must remove trees growing in confined spaces near houses, utility lines and other sensitive areas. Tree removal requires considerable expertise to successfully perform this task.

At Wharram, our arborists are highly trained to work safely and efficiently in all tree removals. We provide thorough clean-up of debris and strive to minimize the impact to surrounding vegetation.

With proper pruning, there is a reduced risk of decay, storm damage, insect infestation, disease and a substantial reduction in hazard liability.

Wharram Tree Service has trained, professional tree climbers and bucket truck operators experienced in the cutting and removal of selected limbs to improve shape, structure and to reduce hazards within the crown of the tree.

Stump Removal

As part of the tree removal process, the stump will typically be left as close to the ground as possible. If needed, removal of the stump can be provided. Stump removal can be challenging and often special machinery is required. Stump grinding by a professional is the easiest and safest way to handle this work.

When it comes time to have a stump removed the best choice is to have one of our team members use a Stump Grinder. Stump removal will be labour intensive without it. Our grinders will dig 21" to ensure no wood material is left in the ground.

Wharram Tree Service offers safe and worry free stump removal. We manage all locates and permissions for underground utilities.

Other Services

    • Regular maintenance can ensure and promote healthy growth, improve the appearance and shape of your trees and prolong their life.

    • Specializing in large tree crane removals, we provide and operate a 22-tonne crane with a 125-ft reach for hoisting or rigging.

    • We chip brush on site when removing and trimming trees. The wood chips produced are good for mulching if requested. 

      Our portable chipper can chip wood up to 18" in diameter to handle even the largest of jobs.

    • The installation of cables and braces on trees reduces their stress and damage. Our goal is to help strengthen weak branches or limbs so they are better able to withstand severe weather and improve longevity. This is particularly important in older established neighbourhoods with heritage trees.
